Jose Baez, M.D.

Dr. Riley Schlub
Dr. Riley Schlub is a Board Certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon who is fellowship trained in hand and upper extremity surgery.
Originally from Ohio, Dr. Schlub obtained his undergraduate degree at Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and doctorate of medicine at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Dr. Schlub briefly left the Sunshine State for Columbia, South Carolina, completing residency training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of South Carolina. Following residency, he returned to Florida to obtain fellowship training in hand and upper extremity surgery from the Florida Orthopaedic Institute in Tampa.
Dr. Schlub sees a wide variety of patients not only with surgical and nonsurgical hand and upper extremity conditions, but also with reconstructive concerns. He has a strong interest in microsurgery, particularly peripheral nerve surgery. Additionally, he enjoys treating a wide variety of upper extremity fractures, ligamentous and tendinous injuries and arthritic conditions. He also sees patients for traumatic and oncologic reconstruction, facial fractures as well as body contouring procedures

Dr. Guilherme Giusti
Dr. Guilherme Giusti is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic hand surgeon. He began his medical education at the Escola Paulista de Medicina in São Paulo, Brazil, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency and hand surgery fellowship. Dr. Giusti then relocated to the United States, where he pursued a microvascular research fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. This was followed by an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He concluded his advanced training with a second Hand and Microvascular Surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic.
Throughout his career, Dr. Giusti has actively contributed to the field through numerous presentations, including at the Annual ASSH Meeting from 2009 to 2012, covering topics such as segmental nerve regeneration and bone vascularization. He has authored several publications and has received numerous accolades, including the Pereira Barreto Award for Medical Students (1993), the Brazilian Hand Surgery Society Boards’ Best Score Award (2003), and the Mayo Clinic Alice D. Jensen Fellowship in Hand Surgery Award. Additionally, during his time at the University of Illinois at Chicago, he earned the Leonard Weinstein, MD Award for excellence in patient care and the Outstanding Performance in Hand Surgery Award.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Giusti enjoys spending time with his family, working out, and traveling. He also has a small 3D printing lab at home, where he works on developing new and safer minimally invasive carpal tunnel release device.
